Chinese Consul General in Davao Zhao Xiuzhen Attends the Turnover Ceremony of Sewing Materials

On October 28, Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen attended theturnover ceremony of sewing materials to the women in the Bangsa Meranaw Tribe and delivered a speech. Deputy MayorRahima M.Usman-Polao, Najmah M.Sarip Jr., Norhata Aday, President of Meranaw Women’s Association were present at the event.

In her remarks, Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen expressed hope that through the sewing materials donated by the Chinese Consulate General in Davao, the women of the Meranaw tribe would have the opportunity to learn a craft that can provide them with a livelihood to change their lives, and shine with independence and confidence.

Deputy MayorRahima M.Usman-Polao thanked the Chinese Consulate General for the generous donation, adding that it fully reflects the deep friendship between the two sides, and they are willing to continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Consulate General.
